Our Board

Sir Neil McKayThe Health and Care Transformation Board is chaired by Together We’re Better’s Independent Chair, Sir Neil McKay.

Sir Neil has over 40 years experience of working in the NHS. He has operated at the highest level in the NHS and has undertaken some of the most complex and demanding system leadership roles in the country. He has had more than 10 years experience leading different systems in different parts of the country, including Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

Our Director Simon Whitehouse also sits on the Board. Simon has worked in the NHS for over 20 years. He graduated as a physiotherapist in 1995 and started his career in Staffordshire. He worked in a number of senior roles before moving to work in Cheshire. He joined Together We’re Better as its Director in June 2017. He has an interest in organisational and system change, believing that good leadership is at the core of all effective teams.
