Large vaccination site Whitemoor Lakes - Alrewas
The site will join the other community vaccination sites in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent and open its doors on Tuesday 9th February.
Appointments are by invite only and you will be contacted by the NHS when it is time to book your appointment. Please only attend if you have an appointment, as you will be turned away if you don’t have an appointment.
How to get to the site
Whitemoor Lakes, Barley Green Lane, Lichfield WS13 8QT
Situated opposite the National Memorial Arboretum, Whitemoor Lakes is easily accessible via the A38.
M1 (southbound) – exit at Junction 28 and pick up the A38 south, by-passing Derby and Burton.
*At the Alrewas turning, exit the A38 and take the A513 sign posted Tamworth. Follow the brown signs for the National Memorial Arboretum. After ½ mile there is a roundabout - you will see Whitemoor Lakes set back from the roundabout. The entrance to the centre is 100 metres on your left.
M1 (northbound) – After Corley Services follow signs for M6 (Toll) & M42, leaving the motorway at the next junction (Junction 9 M42) signposted A 446. Follow A446 Lichfield, to A38 Lichfield. After the Lichfield exit, leave the A38 at Alrewas and pick up the A513 sign-posted Tamworth. Follow the local directions, marked * above.
M6 (southbound) – exit Junction 15 and follow the A50 Derby, then A38 Lichfield. Exit at the Alrewas exit. Then follow local directions marked * above.
M6 (northbound) South of Birmingham – follow signs for M6 (Toll) & M42, leaving at next junction (Junction 9 M42), signposted A446. Follow the A446 Lichfield, to A38 Lichfield. Exit the A38 at the Alrewas junction and follow local directions as marked * above.
M6 (northbound) & M6 North of Birmingham – leave M6 at Junction 11, then take the A5 and then the A38 towards Derby. Exit at the Alrewas junction after the Lichfield junction and then follow local directions as marked * above.
M54 (eastbound) – leave at Junction 1 and take A460 to Cannock, passing over M6. Continue until you pick up the A5 towards Tamworth. Take the A38 towards Derby, but exit the A38 at the Alrewas junction. Then follow local directions as marked * above.
For satellite navigation systems, please use the post code WS13 8QT. If this post code is not recognised, please use the National Memorial Arboretum post code which is DE13 7AR. This will take you up to the traffic island where Whitemoor Lakes is situated.
Where to park
The centre has a large car park, 101 spaces
Travelling by public transport
Currently there are 2 bus services running close by the centre. The number 12 from Burton-on-Trent calls in at Lichfield and then on to Sutton Coldfield, and back again. The number 13 runs from runs from Burton-on-Trent to Alrewas village, calling in at the National Memorial Arboretum, which is a short walk away from Whitemoor Lakes, and onwards to Tamworth and then back again

Travelling by train
If you are travelling to Whitemoor Lakes by train, the nearest station is Lichfield Trent Valley Station situated one junction down off the A38 on the outskirts of Lichfield city centre. This station has direct services to London Euston and the North.
There is also a second station called Lichfield City Station which is located on the Birmingham Road in the city centre, opposite the bus station. This station offers frequent direct services to Birmingham New Street Station.
Travelling by car from Whitemoor Lakes to either train stations takes approximately 10 minutes.
