The national recruitment process, to appoint four independent Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) for the anticipated Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB), subject to legislation, has now launched.

The ICB wishes to recruit four independent Non-Executive Directors (NEDs), two of which are mandated roles*.

  • *One will chair the Audit Committee and have an excellent working knowledge of Audit Committee practices and risk management frameworks. They will also be the ICB Conflicts of Interest Guardian.
  • *One will chair the Remuneration Committee bringing the experience of Remuneration Committee work at board level and leading organisational and cultural change. They will also be the NED for Whistleblowing and Freedom to Speak Up Guardian.
  • One will chair the Quality and Safety Committee and scrutinise quality and safety for the ICB. They will also promote our services and our work on health inequalities, voluntary community and social enterprise (VCSE), public engagement and carers, research and innovation.
  • One will chair the Finance and Performance Committee and scrutinise finance and performance for the ICB. They will promote the green agenda, as well as digital and data.

Independent Non-Executive Members for the NHS ICB, will help to shape a long-term, viable plan for the delivery of the functions, duties and objectives of the ICB, and for the stewardship of public money.
